As Co-Founder and CEO of Five Discovery, I lead a pre-seed biotech company developing next-generation neuroplastogens for neurodegenerative disease, beginning with Levodopa-Induced Dyskinesia, a very common and underserved complication of medicated Parkinson’s Disease. Our approach draws on the serotonergic pharmacology that has defined my research career, now re-engineered into psychedelic-inspired compounds optimized for neurological benefit without the psychedelic experience.

Alongside that work, I serve as Scientific Director of The Center for MINDS, a nonprofit advancing scientific research and translational protocols for using psychedelics as catalysts for breakthrough insights in technical and professional domains.

My academic foundation includes a PhD in neuroscience from McGill University and a postdoctoral fellowship under Robin Carhart-Harris at UCSF. I have published over two dozen peer-reviewed papers spanning psychedelic science, cognitive neuroscience, and related topics, including in journals such as Nature Medicine, Proceedings of the National Academy of Sciences, Brain, and Trends in Cognitive Sciences.

My passion for promoting scientific literacy has led me to create a science education platform, The Psychedelic Scientist. Through an Instagram page, YouTube channel, and online course platform, I am dedicated to sharing the latest insights and breakthroughs in psychedelic science in a layperson-accessible way.

With my expertise and passionate interest in psychedelics, neuroscience, and translational medicine, I‘m excited to continue to apply my knowledge towards concrete clinical applications, in addition to contributing to the frontier of our scientific understanding and educating the general public.
